Akbar Manani (born in Isfahan) is an Iranian dubber, dubbing manager and announcer. He started dubbing professionally in 1340, radio announcer in 1342 and dubbing management in 1343. He has spoken in many films, series and animations; Collections such as Poirot (instead of Hercule Poirot), Nurses (instead of Frank), The Best Years of Our Lives (instead of Frederick March), Zabul Khan (instead of Zabul Khan), Gulliver’s Adventures (instead of Glam I know). For many years, he has been the announcer of Pepper Types and Mr. Khosbin in the Friday morning program with you. Akbar Manani wrote the first documented source of Iranian dubbing history with the name “History of Iranian dubbing and its lasting sounds”. This work, which took 17 years to write, deals with how, why and when dubbing entered Iran. He has also written the book Fan Bayan and Speaking in Radio. In addition to Akbar Manani’s cooperation with the Radio and Television of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he and professor Cengiz Jalilund are also active in teaching dubbing courses at the Higher School of Media. He has participated in works such as “The Twenty-Ninth Night”, “Filshah” and “Khorshid Masr” as the supervisor of the narrators and voice actor.
