Dariush Arjmand was born on August 5, 1323 in Tehran. He has a master’s degree in theater and cinema from the University of Paris and a bachelor’s degree in history and sociology from the University of Mashhad. He was one of Ali Shariati’s students in the undergraduate course. Together with Mehrdad Tedin, he is one of the founders of Mashhad Azad Cinema in the late 1340s. In addition to acting and directing in the Mashhad theater, he also makes 8 mm short films, the most important of which is the film Hayes.
