Leila Hatami is an Iranian actress. He was born in October 1359 in Tehran. His father Ali Hatami was a famous director and his mother Zari Khushkam (Zahra Hatami) was an actress. Leila Hatami was 12 years old when she appeared in front of her father’s camera for the first time in Kamal al-Molk’s film. In 1370, he played his second role in the movie Deleshdegan. After graduating, he was accepted into the electrical engineering department of Tehran Polytechnic University, but after two years, he left his studies in this field halfway and went to Switzerland. There he studied French literature at the University of Lausanne. He is fluent in English, German, Persian, Italian and French. Hatami returned to Iran in 1375 due to his father’s illness and left his studies incomplete. At the same time, he played a role in the movie Leila by Dariush Mehrjooi. In 1377, he married Ali Musfa (an actress). They have two children named Mani and Asal. Leila Hatami has collaborated with great directors such as Asghar Farhadi, Dariush Mehrjooi, Hamid Nematullah, Fereydoun Jirani, Alireza Raisian, Ebrahim Hatamikia, Ali Hatami, Ali Musfa, etc. The Minister of Culture and Communications of France awarded Laila Hatami with the Order of Arts and Letters of this country in 2013. In 2017, Oscar Academy invited him to become a member. He was present as a judge in the main section of the 67th Cannes Film Festival.
