Seyed Ali Salehi, born in 1334 in Marghab village of Izeh district in Khuzestan province, is a contemporary Iranian poet and writer. He was the founder of the pure wave movement and speech poetry in contemporary Iranian poetry and one of the main directors of the Iranian Writers Association. Salehi is one of the prominent and well-known figures in contemporary Persian poetry.
