Khosrow Shakibai, a graduate of acting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Tehran University, was an actor, screenwriter, voice actor and voice actor. He was born on April 7, 1323 in Tehran, his name was Khosro, but his friends and relatives called him Mahmoud. His father was an army major who died in 1337 due to cancer. Khosro Shakibaei experienced jobs such as tailoring, canal construction, and elevator construction until he stepped onto the theater stage for the first time in 1342. In the same year, he was introduced to Abbas Jovanmard and after some time, he was recognized as a professional actor by performing shows such as Sang and Serena, All My Sons, Shab Twenty-One and Biya Ta Gol Brafshanim. The implementation of physicists’ programs and Shirin Wasal’s Hangama are among his other primary works. In 1347, he entered the dubbing profession and worked in this field for a short time. The voice of the ten old Muslim man in the movie Shole is the most famous voice of Khosrow Shakibaei. In 1353, he appeared in front of the camera with the short film “Katiba” by Fariborz Saleh. In 1354, Mohammad Reza Aslani offered him to appear in the Samak Ayar series. Masoud Kimiaei liked Shakibaei’s performance in the 21st night show and offered him to appear in the movie Red Line. This film was his first film appearance. Khosro Shakibaei died on July 28, 2008 due to a cardiac arrest in Parsian Hospital in Tehran and was buried in Behesht Zahra Artists’ Plot. He was suffering from diabetes and liver cancer for a long time. Khosro Shakibaei was married twice during his life, his first wife was an actress Tanya Johari, who gave birth to a daughter named Popek. Opravin’s second wife is Koshiar and Poriya Shakibaei is their child. In 2009, Khosrow Shakibaei’s book, written by Elham Qarakhani, looking at the various aspects of this artist’s personality, was published by Goya House of Culture and Art. In February 2013, a music album called Hamon and loneliness with the voice and lyrics of Ahmed Noorayin, composed by Sina Klot and arranged by Faraz Khanafari was presented to Hamid Hamon, the character of the movie Hamon by Dariush Mehrjooi.
